Poor prognosis pericarditis

Poor prognosis Pericarditis (strongly consider admission):

  • High fever (> 38 C)
  • Subacute onset (>1 week)
  • Large pericardial effusion
  • Tamponade
  • Already in NSAIDS for a week
  • Positive troponin
  • Immunocompromised
  • Anticoagulation
  • Trauma
